Pendleton Woolen Mills has been weaving wool in Oregon since 1863, operating the same mills in Pendleton, Oregon and Washougal, Washington for over a century. The wool blankets are made in the USA from start to finish, spun, dyed, woven and finished within Pendleton's own facilities. Most patterns draw on Native American design traditions from the Southwest and Pacific Northwest. South West Trader stocks Pendleton blankets in a range of weights and sizes alongside towels, matelassé coverlets, shirts, pillows, and bags and scarves. The blanket range includes Jacquard, Chief Joseph and a number of archival patterns. The blankets are built to last decades, with construction and materials largely consistent for over a hundred years.
