Hopi Prayer Feathers Pendant

A Hopi overlay sterling silver pendant.

This piece uses the overlay technique, developed by Hopi silversmiths in the 1940s, in which a design is hand-cut from a top sheet of silver and soldered over an oxidised base, creating contrast between polished silver and darkened ground.

Sourced directly from Native American artists on the reservations of New Mexico and Arizona, handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
