Sandcasting is among the most labour-intensive techniques in Southwestern silversmithing, developed by Navajo silversmiths in the mid nineteenth century, with each hand-carved mold in sandstone or tufa producing only a small number of pieces.
Sourced directly from Native American artists on the reservations of New Mexico and Arizona, handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
