Navajo Sandcast Pendant
A Navajo sandcast sterling silver pendant.
Sandcasting is among the most labour-intensive techniques in Southwestern silversmithing, developed by Navajo silversmiths in the mid nineteenth century, with each hand-carved mold in sandstone or tufa producing only a small number of pieces.
Sourced directly from Native American artists on the reservations of New Mexico and Arizona, handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
Dimensions: 3.0 × 3.0cm.
