Across Navajo and Southwestern silversmithing the cross holds multiple meanings, representing the four cardinal directions and four sacred mountains and in some traditions celestial bodies, alongside the Christian cross introduced through Spanish colonial contact.

Made by B.C. for South West Trader, a Sydney label working in sterling silver, brass, copper and beads, designed and made by hand in Australia.
