Navajo Sandcast Pendant
A Navajo sandcast sterling silver pendant.
Developed by Navajo silversmiths in the mid nineteenth century, sandcasting involves hand-carving a design into sandstone or tufa stone and pouring molten silver into the mold, with each mold producing only a small number of pieces.
Sourced directly from Native American artists on the reservations of New Mexico and Arizona, handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
Dimensions: 3.0 × 3.0cm.
