Handmade with Sterling Silver and American Turquoise on an extra thick handwoven leather cord.

Circa 1980s

The bolo tie grew from the practice of Navajo, Zuni and Hopi men securing bandanas with shell clasps in the 1930s, with silversmiths developing the slide into a vehicle for turquoise and sterling silver work.

Across Navajo, Zuni and Hopi tradition stars represent guidance and the connection between earth and cosmos, with each nation holding its own star lore passed down orally through generations.

Sourced directly from Native American artists on the reservations of New Mexico and Arizona, handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
